2026 Fall Enrollment Brochure

School Profile

Shanghai Chengcai Comprehensive High School was established in 1998. Approved by the Shanghai education authorities and managed by the Pudong New Area Education Bureau, it is a legitimate private high school with distinctive characteristics. In 2025, it was officially designated as a pilot comprehensive high school. Guided by the philosophy of "standardized operation, distinctive development, tailored education, and diversified success," the school offers a multi-track pathway for higher education that integrates academics, arts, international studies, and vocational training. It welcomes students regardless of household registration status, providing every learner with a growth path suited to their needs. Currently, the school enrolls approximately 2000 students and employs over 300 staff members. The campus spans about 116 mu (77,300 square meters), featuring clearly separated zones for teaching, living, and sports within a beautiful environment.

Admissions Plan

In 2026 Fall, the domestic program plans to enroll 350 students. International program class enrollment is subject to actual admissions and ends when quotas are filled.

Program Types

The school currently offers five core program tracks covering domestic college entrance exams, arts admissions, vocational pathway衔接, and international study abroad options to suit students with diverse academic backgrounds and post-secondary plans.

1. Cultural College Entrance Exam Class: Aligns with regular high school curriculum, offers small-class instruction, and allows students to take the Japanese exam instead of English for the college entrance exam. Students can participate in Shanghai's Spring and Autumn college admissions exams on equal footing with regular high schoolers, apply through the unified city-wide system, and receive full support to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree.

II. Art College Entrance Exam ClassOffers seven art exam tracks: Fine Arts, Music, Broadcasting & Hosting, Film & TV Performance, Acting & Directing, Dance, and Sports. Provides synchronized instruction in academic subjects and professional art training. Art-specialized students qualify for reduced college admission scores based on cultural exam results. Students with no prior experience but an interest in the arts are also welcome to enroll.

3. 3 + 3 College ProgramAdopts a "3-year high school + 2-year college" phased training model. After completing three years of general high school coursework, students advance to full-time associate degree programs via spring enrollment or the national college entrance exam. This clear and stable pathway is ideal for students seeking a secure route to a full-time associate degree.

IV. Vocational-Academic Integrated ProgramAdopts a " 2 + 3 " (higher vocational) or " 2 + 4 " (high-level undergraduate) integrated training model, offering 29 popular majors including preschool education, software development, and digital media design. Students can advance directly to the university division without taking the national college entrance exam by passing internal assessments or adult education exams, earning nationally recognized associate or bachelor's degrees with relatively low admission pressure.

V. International Study Abroad ProgramWe offer three major study abroad tracks: Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. The Japan program features three pathways: 2.5 + 1 for the Japanese university entrance exam (EJU), 2.5 + 1 via sister school recommendations, and 3 + 4 direct domestic exams, with partnerships in over 160 universities. The South Korea program uses a "3 + 0 + 4" direct admission pathway and has over 10 years of experience, collaborating with institutions such as Yonsei University, Kookmin University, and Myongji University. The Singapore program adopts the original APEX curriculum, aligning students with Singaporean public universities and top global universities with campuses in Singapore.
