Shanghai Chengcai Comprehensive High School was established in 1998. Approved by the Shanghai education authorities and managed by the Pudong New Area Education Bureau, it is a legitimate private high school with distinctive characteristics. In 2025, it was officially designated as a pilot comprehensive high school. Guided by the philosophy of "standardized operation, distinctive development, tailored education, and diversified success," the school offers a multi-track pathway for higher education that integrates academics, arts, international studies, and vocational training. Currently, the school enrolls approximately 2000 students and employs over 300 staff members. In spring 2026, the pre-high school program plans to enroll 3 classes (with 40 students per class). Other programs will admit students based on actual applications,择优录取 until full. The total enrollment target is approximately 120 students.

Spring admissions primarily target the following program types, tailored to students with varying academic foundations and college planning goals:

I. Preparatory Class: A bridge course specifically designed for students entering the second semester of Grade 9. Spanning one academic term, this program consolidates core junior high knowledge while introducing essential senior high content to ensure a smooth transition. It helps alleviate the stress associated with the increased academic rigor of senior high school. Upon successful completion and comprehensive assessment, students can advance directly to our senior high department. They may choose from four pathways: Gaokao (National College Entrance Exam), 3+3, vocational education, or international studies, with the flexibility to adjust their direction later.

1. Nationwide Grade 9 students entering high school (Spring classes primarily target students in the second semester of Grade 9);
2. Junior high school graduates from previous years (age not exceeding 18 years);
3. Admission for Grade 10 and 11 (students transferring schools must provide original transcripts and proof of enrollment).
No residency restrictions. No points required.

Step 3: Attend the comprehensive interviewComprehensive evaluation organized by the Admissions Office, covering: student's academic journey and background, learning habits and motivation, behavioral conduct, values and life goals, foundational junior high school knowledge, mental health assessment, and talent demonstration. Students applying for the arts track may be exempt from certain professional assessments if they hold certified art proficiency certificates. Applicants transferring in must submit their transcript from their previous school.

Step 4: Admission OfferAdmission decisions are based on a comprehensive evaluation. Successful candidates will receive an official Admission Letter, stamped by the Academic Affairs Office and signed by the President, which will be sent via email. The Admissions Office will subsequently contact new students by phone or email with details regarding enrollment procedures.

The Spring Semester program is primarily designed for students in the second half of Grade 9 and transfer students. Basic requirements are as follows: Students must be physically and mentally healthy, with no history of psychological disorders or color vision deficiencies. They should demonstrate good conduct, maintain a neat appearance, and adhere to the relevant provisions of the "Code of Conduct for Middle School Students" and the "Daily Behavioral Norms for Middle School Students." Academic performance requirements:

- For Pre-High School enrollment: Submit end-of-term Grade 9 Semester 1 report card. The combined score for the three core subjects (Chinese, Math, English) must be at least 200 out of a maximum of 300.
Transfer students without prior academic records must take the school's placement assessment in Chinese, Mathematics, and English.
