Program Overview

The Pre-Advanced Program is a bridge course designed exclusively for incoming Grade 9 students. Spanning one semester (spring entry), it consolidates core middle school knowledge and introduces advanced high school concepts to ensure a smooth transition from middle to high school, alleviating the academic pressure of increased subject difficulty. Upon completion and passing the comprehensive assessment, students gain direct admission to our high school department. They can then choose from four pathways: Gaokao, 3+3 associate degree programs, vocational colleges, or international study abroad—and retain the flexibility to adjust their plans later.

[College Pathways]

Upon completing the Pre-Advanced program and passing the comprehensive assessment, students advance directly to our High School Division. They may choose one of the following four academic pathways (flexible adjustments are permitted based on semester evaluations after enrollment):

- Cultural Gaokao ClassSmall-class general high school curriculum. Prepare for Shanghai's Spring Gaokao and the National Autumn Unified Exam to gain admission to domestic undergraduate universities.

- Art College Entrance Exam Class: Comprehensive coverage of all seven art exam tracks, dual-track training in academic and professional studies, with access to reduced score admission policies for art college entrance exams.

- 3+3 Associate Degree ProgramComplete three years of regular high school, then advance to a full-time associate degree program through the spring or fall entrance exams to earn a higher education credential with steady progress.

- Vocational-Technical Integration Program2+3 or 2+4 integrated program. No national entrance exam required, lower academic pressure, and a nationally recognized associate or bachelor's degree upon completion.

- International Study ProgramStudy abroad pathways to Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. Small bilingual classes with end-to-end academic planning by Chinese and international educators.

Admissions Plan

The 2026 Spring Advanced Preparatory Program plans to enroll 3 classes, with 40 students per class, totaling approximately 120 students (enrollment ends when full).

Admissions Process

1. Contact the admissions office online or by phone.Register for Campus Open Day；

2. Attend the comprehensive on-campus interview (academic background, study habits, behavioral standards, and mental health assessment);

3. Submit your current junior high school enrollment certificate, graduation diploma, household registration book, ID card, and a recent blue-background passport photo;

4. Students enrolling before the high school entrance exam must meet subject requirements for Chinese, Math, and English. For students joining the college entrance exam track, total score must exceed 400 points; for those joining the 3+3 junior college or vocational program, total score must exceed 400 points.

5. Non-Shanghai residents must score at least 425 points in the three main subjects to enroll in the National College Entrance Examination program.

6. After comprehensive evaluation, admission offers are issued. Pay the required fees and complete registration.

[Note]

- The Pre-High School program is a non-degree bridging stage. Upon completion, students must pass our school's interview and academic assessment to officially advance to the High School division.

- Student status in the regular Shanghai high school program will be registered collectively after promotion to the high school division; no high school enrollment is processed during the preparatory phase.

- Course content and schedule are subject to the registrar's actual arrangements; prerequisite courses may be adjusted based on students' foundational knowledge.

- The displayed academic pathways are options available upon completion of the Pre-High School program. Final selections will be based on the student's personal preference and academic assessment.

- Target Audience: All current 9th-grade students nationwide (Spring classes for students in the second semester of 9th grade); no residency restrictions apply.

- Physically and mentally healthy, with no serious mental health issues or criminal record;

- Maintains good daily conduct with no disciplinary actions; complies with relevant provisions of the "Code of Conduct for Middle School Students."
